Q: What is the maximum capacity of guests for the facility?
The Glass Box can accommodate up to 30 guests comfortably for a seated reception, or up to 45 for ceremony seating or a cocktail-style reception.
These numbers reflect full capacity. Capacity may be reduced due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please inquire for details.
Q: Am I required to use vendors from your Preferred Vendor List?
Full-service catering provided by caterers on our Approved Catering List is required for events held at 5pm or later, as well as all weddings (regardless of time of day). Events held prior to 5pm may opt for full-service catering from our Approved Catering List, or provide plattered items not requiring temperature control. Please inquire for more details!
Q: Are there alcohol restrictions?
All alcoholic beverages must be served by a caterer/bartending company from our approved list. If your event involves liquor/cocktails, you will need to apply for a “Limited Special Occasion Permit” from the North Carolina ABC Commission. A physical copy of this permit must be on-site and present at the bar throughout the event.,
Q: Is the venue accessible for guests with different levels of mobility?
Yes, we have an elevator that allows all guests to access the venue.
Q: What are the guidelines regarding decor?
Candles with live flames are permissible if they are within a container, and the flame does not extend over the top of the container. If you are hanging items from the walls, CommandTM strips (no mark) are required. Nailing, glitter, confetti, and birdseed are not allowed. All additional lighting or drapery must be set up and removed by a professional and insured rental company. Please ask us for referrals!
Q: Is smoking allowed on the balcony?
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the facility, including the balcony.
Q: Can the indoor lounge furniture be moved outside onto the balcony?
Yes. However, if there is inclement weather, indoor lounge furniture must remain indoors. The lounge furniture cannot be removed from the venue.
Q: Where should guests park?
We recommend guests park in one of the nearby parking decks, all within two blocks of the venue: Moore Square, Wilmington Station, or Alexander Square. Although limited, street parking is also available.

Q: Am I required to choose a Planner/Day-of Coordinator on your preferred list?
Hiring a professional coordinator is one of the best investments for your full enjoyment and stress relief on your Big Day. We highly recommend, but do not require, that you hire a professional planner/day-of coordinator. We have an excellent list of local coordinators and planners who would be thrilled to assist you. If you elect not to hire a planner/coordinator, we do require that you appoint a day-of contact on your end who will be the primary contact for our facility team
